back from ATF w/ a chao-da-ed face... nono.. *w/ chao-da-ed faces. and muscle aches. and exhuastion. and painful eyes. ..had to wear smelly helmets and tight harnesses......... BURT if you were to recall how much you've experienced in the process, all these 're actually worth it. (:
it was the last time we could travel to Ubin w/ our own squadmates, the last time into NPCC campsite[for most of us, maybe.] and the last time we get to do the HRCs w/o having to pay............. so ytd's trip seemed much more meaningful; ytd's trekking was more significant too.
started off w/ a briefing by a Police Officer. find it weird tt he likes to talk about..... UNDERWEAR. lol! burt anyway, he's respectable.
were seperated into 2 groups, according to whether you tried IRC in sec3 ATC or not. [so.. ='/ huh]
for my group, we went to the ARC, and waited for the Dangling Dowel.
we were spoz to get in pairs and move up the 6 Dangling Dowels, each level getting more and more difficult.
so let us welcome the veh first pair who tried tt!!!!!: WEISIANG AND DANIEL. *applause applause*
what at first seemed to me as a 'just-climb-and-go-up' challenge wasn't as simple at all. it wasn't ez to go up, and it was harder to move as a team.
however, Daniel succeeded w/ his Koala Bear technique while weiSiang used the advantage of his height. hahs..
jiamin and huiping went next. they looke dlike 'lil kids playing playground[grabbed part of this phrase from baoyi] 'cos they were so agile. =D
one interesting team was Azreena and JunDe. my dearest son turtle was so cute.. he gave up before climbing to the 3rd lvel. Burt nvm.. we've got our pecker going SOLO. wa-tea's forever so shuai!!!!.. she chiong-ed to the top.. omg.. my idol!!!!! =D
and, hah.. finally it was my turn. went up w/ qii.. then i realised it was really fun burt tiring. it strains a lot of your arms muscles.. 'cos you to pull the rope, hold your partner, grab the pole, stabalize yourself and what have you. burt we managed to get to the top anyway.. YEAH! =)
next event: FLYING FOX.
[wait. im crazy now. gimme 10mins of rest before i continue.]
well.. flying fox was the main aim of our whole trip there, actually. who wasn't lookin' forward to tt?..esp.......[..hahas..! gimme 10 more mins.]
okayokays. *breathe in, breathe out* mm.. i wasn't feeling any fear at all even when i was at the top.. 21.7m-tall, and i wasn't feeling scared at all.. maybe 'cos.......[..LOL. 10 more mins.]
ALRIGHT. *serious.* okay.. so you have to sit on this wooden plank before you get to jump. uhh, and before you jump, you've to count w/ your partner and then FLY TOGETHER! [omg......just 10 more mins.]
HAHA.. back. LOL. ..the veh first moment when you jumped down was so exciting! what you realised next was tt you're flying along tt wire. w/ all the wind blowing at you.. w/ tt speed, w/ tt partn......... yaya.. JUST SO SHIOK. flying fox rocks.
Last event for me was the ARC... the section where you have metal rings and ropes and wooden poles and tracks and wire.......... weisiang went first! budden he came back 'cos he was too full so he couldn't carry on. next was hwee!..who managed to carry on though he was full too.. hahs. budden the obstacles weren't so ez to overcome too.. had to swing hard and stuff.. quite tough. then when it was my turn, hah.. i realise the obstacles 're biased against shorties!!!! LOL.. it was so hard to grab the metal ring, when you're standing on the triangle thing. so it wasn't ez at all, esp for qii and i.. lols. was too tired lahs.. so i rested at the ladder, almost falling asleep. hahas. i gave up the last two ropes(the ones w/ the triangles) 'cos i was really tired...disappointed tt i didn't persevere, though. burt anyway.. second stage was much more easier. burt you still have to spend a lot of effort on stabalizing yourself.
and, urghh.. when i reached stage3, it RAINED. i was looking forward to stage3 larhh.. the one where you walk on a wire w/ the help of the what-do-you-call-tt-? so i had to be carried y the ladder to the finishing point. O burt hor!..the ladder stopped at some nice 4 or 5 feet away from the finishing point. so i asked some help form the ma'am there. burt while the ma'am was clipping the carribiner, i tried to walk tt few steps. and i reached the wooden plank before she finshed clipping! *please clap*
wanted to try the leap of honour burt it was too late. 'cos we spent too much time resting. veh disappointed, though.
uhh yea.. there was this competition. where each school 'll send two boys[for boys' comp] and two girls[for girls' comp]. and then the team tt takes the shortest time wins.
for boys, *clears throat*, we have weisiang and hwee!! and for girls, we've superwomen wah-tea and qii!!
or boys came out w/ a leading record of 30s, burt was beaten by some other school w/ a record of 27s. so, w/ strong determination [LOL], they tried again! [hahas..] and we were the final Champion w/ a timing of 26s!!! hahs!!!
'3cheers, '3cheers, '3cheers for NAN CHIAU!
HIP HIP HOORAY!
HIP HIP HOORAY!
HIP HIP HOORAY!
[=D]
hahs.. so tired now; doin' the malacca trip stuffs and this blogging and homework. eyes're so painful!!!! im still having bloodshot eyes.. those watery, bloodshot eyes, according to amanda and rebecca. ..shall i apply tt Banana Boat Gel on my eyes? ..lols.
O BTW. it's ALTC next next week; 23rd, 24th. im shocked tt im not in the committee. lol. burt uhh.. sad too lahs.. 'cos if im not in tt committee, i can only be there for the campfire. welcome us okays! =')
